Direct Debit Card

Buying online is an easy way to get things done. People can purchase items that they never could have before to include consumables to charitable giving and micro loans. One can even prepare a will online.

When shopping on the web, it is important to distinguish the differences in making purchases with debit cards and credit cards. While there may be more security in shopping with a credit card, cases of fraud and stolen account information from shopping sites are rare enough that most consumers don't have to worry about it.

What consumers do have to concern themselves with is that when they buy things on the Internet with credit instead of debit transactions, they routinely spend more than they would have if cash was taken directly out of their accounts rather than being borrowed at 20%, making debit card purchases much more preferable.

Debit Card Users Spend Less

Why do people spend less when using a debit card? A study at Carnegie Mellon University showed that when consumers used a debit card or cash as opposed to a credit card, the part of the brain that associates with pain sensations was activated. But when a credit purchase was made, no activity was found, at least not substantially.
